Specialist subject knowledge is the key to accurate, engaging translations and consistent use of terminology.

Here are a few examples of the types of text I love to work with:

  • Press releases, news articles and interviews

  • Company magazines and presentations

  • Website copy, including product descriptions, articles and case studies

  • Adverts, brochures, trend papers and marketing materials

  • Company codes of conduct and other internal documentation

My areas of specialisation largely stem from my extensive professional experience and in-depth knowledge of the events, communications, travel and tourism industries. This background means I’m well placed to understand the communication needs of both largescale international brands and their target audiences.

I’ve travelled to many corners of the globe during my career and am well versed in the terminology of the business and leisure travel sectors. My time living and working abroad in both Spain and Germany has also given me a high level of cultural understanding of my source language countries.

The environment and sustainability is a further growing area of specialisation, on account of my experience translating a range of texts for clients in the renewable energy sector and my personal advocacy for this topic.

I’ve owned and been riding horses for as long as I can remember, which has equipped me with detailed terminological knowledge and practical experience in this specialist field. Be it texts relating to equestrian sporting disciplines, breeding or animal care, I can help!

I’m also a keen health and fitness enthusiast, regularly participating in a variety of fitness events including outdoor bootcamps, 10k runs and HYROX events. This means I know my EMOMs from my AMRAPs and my burpees from my broad jumps, so I have the right knowledge to handle texts in this field.
